Driving Climate Action in Africa
THE CLIMATE CRISIS
Despite contributing less than 4% to global greenhouse gas emissions, Africa faces severe climate change impacts, including rising temperatures, erratic rainfall, droughts, and floods, which threaten agriculture, water resources, infrastructure, and public health. This crisis is worsened by a lack of climate education in African classrooms. Without integrating climate education into the curriculum, future generations may lack the knowledge and skills needed to tackle these pressing environmental challenges.
